I am a certified bookworm lol. Every year I set reading targets and every year I will surpass this target. This year my goal is to read 70 books and as I am writing this post in August, I am about 80% of that goal, having read 60 out of my target of 70. As you can see reading is my go-to relaxation activity. Every year I participate in different reading challenges which help me read the never-ending tbR that I continuously keep adding to by buying more books, by the way, I am in the firm belief that book buying and book reading are two different hobbies by the way and both of them gives me as much pleasure and as a busy mumtrepreneur, its important for my mental health that I make space for spoiling myself in my life.
Here the reading challenges I am participating in this year. Though sometimes the books I own do not match the prompt I really try not to buy new books just so to complete the challenge. I get creative with some prompts so I could clear my never-ending tbr.
- Pop Sugar Reading Challenge. It is a bit boring this year as there are lots of repetitive prompts but it’s my first-ever reading challenge so I stick to it. 40 prompts with 10 bonus
- Around the Year Reading Challenge. Just discovered it late last year, I love the prompts, gives a variety of prompts and what I love is that there are no hidden agenda to the prompts. the aim is to read 52 books for the 52 weeks
- The 52-book Club Challenge. It started as just 52 books in 52 weeks but recently it keeps adding mini challenges during the year, which have fast become my pet peeves lol.
- I also do the alphabet challenge, which is reading a book for the 26 letters of the alphabet, as you have guessed there are letters that are quite tricky compared to others. Looking at you Q and Z
